If a spirit wishes to come through to us they must first pass through our Doorkeeper. 'Thomas', has been with us now for years. When we talk with him it is like talking to an old friend. Some people say that we shouldn't put so much trust in him, that we should be careful and of course we should. But at some point you have to trust someone and for us that someone is Thomas. Without him a sitting as we have come to know it simply wouldn't be the same. We treat him just as we would each other. We even have the odd laugh and a joke with him.

Naturally we didn't always have a Doorkeeper. Thomas came to us at a time when we were reaching a stage where it was becoming necessary to have guidance. Our messages were becoming more intriguing and our progress and dedication meant that we were gaining more respect from the dead with every meet. This in turn meant that we were more and more susceptible to contact from malevolent spirits and although we both knew that at some point it would be something we would have to confront, neither of us were eager for it to happen anytime soon.

Thomas was a spirit that came through to us on a number of occasions when we needed help or assistance. For one reason or another he would come through with advice that always proved to be invaluable and soon we formed a bond of trust with him and asked him if he would consider being present at all of our sittings. It was then that we discovered that we had 'passed our first test' for want of a better phrase. Thomas had always intended to be there for us and unbeknown to us had simply been waiting for us to ask him if he would join us. A doorkeeper is something that any experienced group or individual should have but this was something that we were unaware of. It was only when he became part of our regular sittings that he informed us of his 'role' and how he was just the first of many 'levels' that we would progress to if we stayed committed and focused.
